Land Rover Classic Defender

Land rover classic defender is one of the most iconic off road vehicles on the market. While it may not have as many modern features as a Jeep Wrangler or Toyota Land Cruiser, it is one of the most reliable SUVs in its class.

How much does a vintage Land Rover Defender cost?

Its heritage is very evident, and it has a lot of character. It still has a spare tire mounted on the rear gate, leather seats with woven inserts, and transom windows in the roofline.

The Defender is also an extremely customizable SUV that can be equipped with the gear you need to take on any off-road adventure imaginable. You can even opt for a model that adds a third row of seating, giving you room for eight passengers.

You can also upgrade your Defender with a wide range of off-roading equipment, including locking differentials, height-adjustable air suspension, and an electronic center differential that helps you navigate through deep water. You can also choose from two powerful engines, a mighty V8 that pumps out 518 horsepower or a turbocharged four-cylinder that puts out 296 horsepower.

In 2008, to celebrate its 60th anniversary, Land Rover produced a series of special editions of the Defender. The “SVX” models featured a unique body style, black with “satin” effect on the sides and bonnet, with “60th” badging and a bespoke five-spoke alloy wheel design. These were also fitted with a winch, bull-bar and raised air-intake. They were available in both 90 and 110 double cabs, with standard Td5 engines.
