web essayists

It pleasures me to find that there are still many thinking people around the world. Gives me a lot of hope. I don’t agree with all of them, some I find downright difficult to accept. But they aren’t letting their minds get lazy. Others express thoughts I have thought myself, only they have said it better. Here are a few that will get the neurons firing.
individual essayists

Scott Bidstrup / I like what he describes as "fun stuff". (go look, then come back) Plus a whole series of things from the mind of "...a secular humanist liberal gay cowboy..." / http://www.bidstrup.com/
Sally Clay / Psychiatric survivor, Recovery, Spirituality and "Normalcy as a threat to world peace" / http://home.earthlink.net/~sallyclay/essays.html
Van Waffle / Silvan Waffle hails from the province of Ontario, Canada. He writes weekly about his thoughts on nature, and of people's perspectives on the same. Each week the site also has a wide range of different related URLs to check out. Give it a read and get yourself uplifted. / http://www.suite101.com/welcome.cfm/living_with_nature
Richard Gosden / Article 18 / Shrinking of Freedom of Thought / How involuntary psychiatric treatment violates human rights / http://www.cwrl.utexas.edu/~monitors/1.1/gosden/
Arianna Huffington / I certainly don't agree with Ms. Huffington on all of her ideas. I tend to agree even less with some of the folks she hangs out with, ideologially speaking. But she does speak clearly on some issues. The following is one of them: the so-called White House Conference on Mental Health. Ms. Huffington's opinions about other subjects can be found at http://www.ariannaonline.com/
Richard Rongstad / Rongstad's an avid letter writer to newspapers (the world needs more such folks) and has some very interesting views on military concerns. You can learn more about him from Rongstad's bio which is part of his fairly extensive home page. / http://www.vikingphoenix.com/public/rongstad/home.htm
